HAL's Fall Show at Boone County Library
This annual HAL sponsored art show will take entries in on September 30 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the library. The show will then be up in the library October 2 through 31. The show will be judged. There will be categories and prize money awarded.
Our next HAL business meeting will be held at the Commerce Mall at 5:30 pm on Tuesday September 19. The Mall is located on the square just around the corner from the Lyric.
We will meet for business at 5:30, then will tour the artists shops at the Mall. The River Gallery CO owned by HAL member and artist Kathy Walker, and the shop of Ken and Charmaine Warren. Ken is a leather artist and Charmaine is a watercolor artist.
The Art After Hours will be August 15th, and we'll be working with clay again with Candace Snow! Location: 1001 Gipson Rd. Harrison, AR 72601 Bring $5 please.
The figure drawing sessions are part of "Art After Hours" and will alternate with the art get together on the months when we don't have business meetings.
Stay tuned for date and time! We can take turns posing or bring someone (clothes on, perhaps an era costume?)
HAL's Annual Small Works On Paper art show, Details to come for next year's show.
The Ozark Mountain Student Art Show is displayed annually in the Boone County Library through the end of February. This show features elementary through high school art from the surrounding schools. First and second places for each school will be awarded with a check (cash awards provided by sponsors).
The New Cave Region Review Music and Art Festival is next spring 2024 and is Sponsored by the North Arkansas College. HAL will have a booth there. Entry information is on the New Cave Region Review Facebook page.

Acrylic Techniques classes are held every other month opposite HAL meetings in the Hobby Lobby art room from 5-7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month. Free to the public.

HAL in association with North Central Arkansas Concert Assoc., The Theater Company and Women's Book Club went together to form the "Ozark Arts Council" in 1996. And now includes; The Theatre Company of the Ozarks, Northark Drama, International Thespian Society Troupe 2715, Twentieth Century Club, Lyric Theater Concert Association, and the Children’s Choir of the Ozarks.
